Valse Miniature by Serge Koussevitzky
How many of you guys have learned this piece, Valse Miniature by Serge Koussevitzky?
The first time I heard it, the tune stuck in my ear. I asked a friend of mine in the orchestra for a copy of it to learn from. Is there a better or best version/player to listen to for reference on a You Tube? |

ok..
Great, thanks. After watching several YouTubes of this I find Levinson to be the best all around on this including intonation, tone and vibrato. Quite a high 'bar' to set.

Ken,
Did this piece on my Master's recital and Levinson's version is right on the money. I paired it with Chanson Triste- Koussevitzky. My program was: Vivaldi Cello Sonata in A Minor- at pitch Valse Minature Chanson Triste Hindemith Sonata Bottesini Concerto No. 2 Nice little catch your breath pieces. BG |
