Default Two band eq - help!

I have an older Ken Smith 2 band eq fitted to an Overwater fretless bass. Sounds brilliant! But I need to connect the built in XLR to use with my Trace Elliot amplifier (that has an XLR input). So the information I need is:
does the built in pull active/passive pot switch the battery in and out of circuit, and, if so, can I disconnect the switched jack socket, connect the ring and sleeve wires together, then parallel the XLR with a mono jack?

Sorry to be a bit long-winded! Whoever installed the circuit made a bit of a mess and I need to tidy it up!

Cheers!
