I am looking for information on a KSD BASS serial # L13050010 ... Is this an early run with the 1st factory that may have issues? Just curious...

These were produced by Brooklyn Gear and probably made in Korea. They are out of business now for several years. D'Andrea took over the making and selling of the KSDs after them. We don't make or sell them so I have no idea how to answer your question. If you email me (support@kensmithbasses.com), I will put you in touch with D'Andrea and maybe they can help you if you need something.

Read thru here as well. http://www.smithbassforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9

Smile Thanks

Thank you so much. I did use the contact form on D'Andrea website ... Hopefully I will hear back soon. I am looking at an online purchase of this bass so without actually playing it. It looks like a nice bass for the money. I'm ok with it Korean made. I was just wondering if this was a Brooklyn or a D'Andrea and if there were any quality issues with either. I will email as well if there is any other contact information.

Thanks again
Still saving for my first real Smith bass... 😎
