Question Correct distance between pickups and strings

Hi, I'm just checking the distance of pickups
And see a difference Between both pickups, so I have a doubt about the correct measurement in my ken smith bass, thanks

They should be down enough so that you don't ever touch the strings to the poles when playing your hardest. The front pickup should be lower to the body than the back pickup where the strings are tighter with downward pressure. I do not use actual measurements as the basses vary as do the strings that some others use as far as gauges and tensions go.
