Default Christopher Rhodes - Bass Player

Good Day! This is Chris Rhodes - your friendly bass player. I am in the DC/Baltimore area performing in a jazz, funk venues mostly. I have two special Ken Smith Basses. I think the Elite G 6-string is extremely rare axe. The feature that stands out about that bass is the feel! The bass is cut thinner than most basses - it feels so good. The MD-7 is - well - an MD-7. The bass is very heavy, and a very smooth tone & timbre. The 7-string is mostly suited for trio or 4 piece groups - anymore pieces than that - and the 7-string stay home. The 6-string is evoling - I mean the tone seems to becoming better with time. I am not sure what is going on, but it sounds better every year. I am the original owner of both these basses. Photos are on my website: www.crjazz.com
