Default Phil Lesh and his BT6

I've always wanted to know the story behind Phil Lesh and how/when he got his BT6. I know he was playing it in 1990 and 1991, but that's all. I'd love to know who approached who (did Ken reach out to Phil or Phil reach out to Ken?). I read that he bought 3 of them.

I own that same model of bass, and I'd love to know more about that story.

Thanks

He called and we discussed the first bass. After, they called and ordered two more from stock.

Thanks Ken. Do you remember when that was? And was it Phil you talked to, or one of his handlers? Did he/they mention waiting on Modulus and it taking too long to get something from them? I've heard rumors.

They're showing a concert from '91 at a local theatre here on Aug 1, and I'm looking forward to see that bass in action!

For the first Bass, I talked only with Phil back and forth. For the other 2, it was with one of his people. Not sure of the year but I can maybe look that up if it is after 1991. Maybe if before. Long long time ago.

Thanks for the little story. No need to look up the date unless you really want to. I know he started playing it some time in 1990. It was a long time ago!
