Default Where to find Graphite for the neck?

I have an old czech bass, Neck was 4/4 lenght but we cut the neck for 3/4 and changed the fingerboard.

We aren't glued fingerboard yet and I thought we can put graphite bars in the neck ( I read about that in this forum) but I couldn't find an online store that sells them.I found some carbon fiber bars from stewmac.com.Is there any difference?
