Just found this thread on TalkBass: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=583392
Is it true that there is a new Burner Hadrien Feraud Signature coming? It sure looks nice. |

Thank you for the info.
I just heard about Hadrien a couple of weeks ago. And now this! Great bassplayer and another great bass with the Smith name on it! Inspiring... |

I was like "huh?" when I saw this thread on TB as well...
I was ready to pull out the popcorn thinking it may be someone branding it... not sure how I love the spalted look, but definately cool!

Finger Ramp?
Do you guys like the finger ramp? I have never used one and it looks unnecessary.

Finger ramp?
While I've never used one, I do understand and respect why Hadrien does. It's not for me, but it does look nice.

Why do you think he uses a ramp?

Why?
His 4-finger playing style and speed.

some questions
Ken,
1- will this bass have the same neck specifications of a 5 strings Burner from '90? 2- What about price? 3- What kind of wood on top and body? 4- What about a four strings? These questions are 'cause I'm a Burner fan . It's a very rare bird in Brazil maybe a new... Thanks.

Hajime or Sleek Elite in Japan is producing them. Maybe some of these questions should be directed at him, you think? He is a member here so why not get the info straight from the source? Funny thing I just noticed. On the Member List under 'H', Hajime's name is right after Hadrien's.. I don't know when these will be available here in USA or even WHO will be selling them. I will look at the prices and see if it's something we want to handle directly here in USA. I think these will be quite expensive. At lease twice the price or the old Burner Artist model but then again, we haven't made those for about 15 years either. Double price seems about right given the 15 year difference and the added features the Burner Artist didn't have. |

What the lastest on the Signature Bass
Smith-heads (smile),
What's the latest on the Signature Bass? Does any one have leads? I have not found any responses from Hajime of the Sleek-Elite. Interesting smith bass - with narrow-spacing? 16mm or something like that? 18v preamp - with 5 knobs. Like everyone else, I wonder what the price will be? I own two smith basses (BMT 6 & MD7) - so I am good for now. You never know when GAS will get you

Yes...
Yes, string spacing is more narrow and that works well with Hadrian's playing style. Nice looking bass. Out of curiosity, I would like to hear that same bass with Ken's Soapbar P/U's installed with the Smith 3-Band Pre-amp (not sure what Pre-amp is in this model, however, it does appear to be a 3-Band of some type).
