Cool Dolling French Bow

I recently bought an amazing French/overhand bow by 4th generation German bowmaker Michael Dœlling (http://www.doellingbogen.de). It's the first bow I have fallen for instantly. It's a Sartory model with an ivory frog that he made about 10 years ago. Weighs 141g.

He also makes gorgeous snakewood bows, although the one I played wasn't to my taste, feel-wise. And, of course, he also makes German/underhand bows. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much of a gallery on their website...

Dave I would love to see some photos of your new Doelling bow...do you have any that you could post? What metal is used for in addition to the ivory?

I'll take some and post. Give me a couple of days. I think the rest of the frog is silver. 141 grams but feels light.

Ok, here you are Eric (and happy belated birthday, btw). I forgot to mention that the bit is broken off the tip. It was that way when I bought it. I'll get it repaired soon, although I may wait until I can get Michael to do it himself.

Nice looking bow. This is the most French looking German-made French bow I recall seeing.

Really lovely; thank you for sharing the pictures.

I know, now, what I wanted for my birthday...
