Hey from down under!
Hi folks,
Greetings from warm-to-sunny Sydney! Just a quick intro to say I got a killer deal on a used/mint '03 flame-maple BSRM5 a few weeks ago, so I finally entered the Smith fraternity and am having a blast getting to know my new PRECIOUS. It's already proven itself to be a fantastic purchase and a killer bass, possibly even the best sounding bass for the buck I've owned so far.... I guess the question which springs to mind, is, why did I waste so much time and money on various Alembic basses over the years, when the expressive and funky sound I was looking for, is inherent in *every* Smith bass?!?!?! Um, oops! Pics soon, as my wife (the photographer in the family) has just returned from a trip away, with the good camera. Cheers, Justin Last edited by Justin Levis; 08-14-2009 at 10:50 AM. Well, gaw lee. Good ole boy Jim Nabors. Loved by millions as Gomer Pyle from Mayberry with Sheriff Andy Griffith, and then on to be Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. with Sargent Carter. I knew that I couldn't get Ole Gom by you Richard.
