Default How to protect the back of your bass??

Hi all

Was just wondering, is there anything you can do to protect the back of your bass from wear marks? I know to turn your buckle around etc, but what about just rubbing on buttons etc.

Was thinking I could tape something to the back of it as a guard, just a piece of cloth or something, but thought the tape would probably mark the finish.

Is there anything out there or suggestions? Do you guys do anything?
