Hi I'm new
My name is Badi al Zaman, but I'm called Bin.
I moved from Bahrain to Lower Hutt in 1982 when I was 14. I attended Hutt Valley High School and started playing the bass in the orchestra. I mean the double bass. Not the bass guitar. I wasn't very good at first but I keep practising. Now I don't play in orchestras but I like to improvise.
I like the Klezmer sound and try to combine it with the sounds that I heard as a child. Are they so different? I think not. I now play some gypsy music and enjoy it. I am here to learn more about the bass. Thank you.
