Default opinion on a DB, old Italian ?

Hi Ken

Thank you for accepting me in the forum...very happy to be involved...

At the moment I just bought one more double bass, and i dont know the origin of it...looks like a very old instrument, I was wondering if you can give me your feedback about this bass...look forward to hear from you...
All the best and a Happy New Year

Looks like a German bass that was re-finished. I would guess later 1800s to early 1900s but leaning more towards post-1900.

Exclamation Fake label..

Totally Fake..

Hopefully it was cheap as you just have a German bass with a bad re-varnish.

My opinion.
