Hello from New Orleans
I just discovered this forum a few weeks ago when researching
my 49th birthday present to myself. Consequently, I was at the UPS depot Wednesday 3-12-08 @ 8 a/m to take my new BSR5TN Black Tiger off of the truck. Thank you Ken Smith. This axe is everything I thought it would be and the first bass I have ever bought sight unseen and having never played a Smith before. Anyway, I've been playing for about 30 years mostly covers some original work and some studio work. My main rig is a Mesa Impulse 360 with a Mesa 4x10 cabinet with a Tweeter. Mainly used as a stage monitor but it can do the job when it has to as long as it has something good going into it. I was asked if I actually intended to play this beautiful bass in bars and my response was that I didn't drop over 4 grand on this bad boy just to look at it. I have a low end bass or two that I am afraid will now become E-Bay fodder because they won't be played anymore. I have a rare G&L L-5000 that will be kept for that reason and my Ibanez SR-905 because it has served me faithfully. Right now, I intend to "become one" with "The Black Tiger". Thanks again Mr. Smith. You instruments are everything that they say they are and even the back of this bass is beautiful. I don't know if I got somebody's top on the back of mine or not but you're not getting it back....... |
