Another unknown bass
This was my bass in high school (50yrs ago). I recently retrieved it from storage and am thiking of regluing the back and selling it. I thought I might try to determine what it is and what it's value might be before repairing it myself. I have more pics I can post. Thanks for any input,

So, it IS a German bass from the Saxon region. That's my opinion. Possibly made or supplied on either side of WWII. I don't know what kind of old stock made 'before' the war was imported 'after' the war. Anything is possible. I have even seen basses dating from during the war but not many. If you bring the bass here in person, I can tell you more possibly. |

Ken,
That bass looks just like my bass to my untrained eye. Right down to the purfling design on the button. Must be the same maker? I'll have to figure out how to post pics. Mine has a partial sticker from some bass dealer from Philly. Gerry |
