Default BSR-J model

Hello Ken,
What happened with the BSR-J model, I see it's a special order now...

It has been a few years since anyone has ordered one and they cost the same as the M model now. Several J players have called to put the Soapbar pickups in their J model to get the full real Smith sound. So, why bother trying to make a Bass that looks like it might sound like a Fender and doesn't and looks like a Smith but is missing the Smith sound?

The J-models came about from customer requests that I think were misguided to begin with. In the end, it's best to do what one does best. A Smith is a Smith and should remain so.
