Default Baltimore Symphony Orchestra!

Hey everybody,

I just got finished playing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra!

They have a community outreach thing called "Rusty Musicians" where adults with some experience can share the stage with members of the orchestra. I was lucky enough to sit second chair next to Associate Principal Hampton Childress! Arnold Gregorian and Mark Huang were also there.

We played "Slavic March" by Tchaikovsky and "Finlandia" by Sibelius, under the baton of Marin Alsop at Strathmore Hall.

Wow! It was an amazing musical experience, and fun!!! Everyone involved with the orchestra and staff treated us like we belonged there. They could not have been more kind and welcoming.

It's gonna be tough to go back to my day job tomorrow!

Joe
