Cool Ebony Top Wood, Old Stock!

Look at the middle shelf on the right with the vertical stick. That is ebony lumber purchased around 1993 or so. In the second pic, you see a Smith BSR 6EG with this Ebony. Last week we were pulling some other Ebony planks for Tops that we got in 2001. There was more there than I could remember. At the rate we make Ebony topped Basses, I don't see us running short for at least 10 years or more. This is extremely rare wood of which we are not able to get anymore in this size according to my latest research. If you want a Smith Bass with an Ebony Top, now is the time to order. Also, some of the boards have areas of tiger striped figure. That's right, Figured Macassar Ebony for your Smith Bass.
