Default The thread that someone replies to every day.

Have you noticed that some threads sit dormant for quite a while before anyone replies?
This thread has a very important function in that it encourages members of Ken's Corner to make their presence felt.
It's enough on this thread just to say something like,
"Hi, Dave here. Enjoying the site." or
"Jane here, oops need to go to the bathroom." or
"Sarah here, must go, got a date with a nice looking bass. Wow, I like those tuners!" or
"Hi Malcolm here. Nothing further to report."
In fact, this thread also introduces the new abbreviation "NFTR" (Nothing Further To Report).
Bear in mind that Ken (of "Ken's Corner" fame) likes "brevities".
So, come on, let's all make this thread work!
I'll start it off...

Wink Daily replies?

Well my Friend from down under, maybe if someone actually had something of value to say or contribute he would but you seem to expect people to play with you every minute while you are bored seemingly with nothing else to do but talk with your fingers here on-line.

I don't see too much problem with that but a new thread to make people talk because they don't reply?

Remember these quotes;

"You can't beat a dead horse" (you can but it wont do any good)
"You can't get blood from a Stone" (unless you hit your own head with it and wipe off the blood)
"When your number's up, your number's up" (anyone know what number that is?)
"what ever goes up, must come down" (see, I'm one of the smart ones..lol)
"Aim before you shoot" (what if it's dark out?)
"If he would have said one more word.. one more word.. I would have...(no one knows what that word is..lol)

Keep THIS alive Rich.. then we can all have a lil fun...

By the way, you have some clever and poetic writings on your 'down here' thread. Reading it should be a scholastic test for literary skills for all those signing up on Ken's corner than wanna post on the forum..

Richard, did you say you were a School teacher by profession? Make your students read your Thread and test them on it weekly. Also, have them checked mentally before and after. I would be very curious about the results on a monthly and yearly basis..lol

You called me your Friend! (with a capital 'F' too!)
After I read that, everything you wrote was just a blur!

Here's an abbreviation for you Ken my Friend...
ANZAC.
Check out the Down Here (NZ) thread to find out what it means.

These are more like the Thread where you talk to yourself everyday and all day long. No?

Ken,
Would you like me to leave? I'm assuming this because I don't really get a positive 'vibe' from you.
The Down Under (NZ) thread has been a bit of fun for me because I love to write. I know that sometimes I'm probably a thorn in your side (sorry about the religious reference).
It has been a popular thread and has probably positively contributed to the site in a funny sort of way.
But...
Here's your chance, cowboy, tell me to go away and I will.
This is a once in a lifetime offer.
Tell me to 'ride into the sunset' and I will never show my ugly head around here again.
On the other hand, you could say something nice to me.
I hope you think before you 'draw'.
You draw first pard'ner (as is the yankee way)...

Well, here's a famous 'Down Here (NZ) ribbing':
Ken, "a cornerless bass is like a woman with no fingers."
Old Maori saying.
