![]() I was the bass player at Radio City in 1980 when Ginger Rogers did her last big show for 3 weeks, 8 shows a week I think. I played an early Smith bass (big circuit, one of the first 30 or so made) but made it sound a bit like a Double Bass (upright). I found these on YouTube and I am the bass player in the Pit Orchestra without a doubt. It was her only time on stage there ever and we took a picture together at the cast party after the last performance. I have seen it at home but not in some time. maybe my wife got jealous and hid it!

![]() Back in those days I had two fears on a gig, making a mistake and playing extra notes that came to my head like on a jazz gig. I did sneak a thing or two in here and there as long as it sounded like it belonged.
