Default Wanted Ken Smith burner

Hello, Heres my story and why I am looking for another burner. Back in 2010 my friend and ex bandmate had his house hit by a tornado, he owned several basses and one was a red Ken smith burner. The bass made it thru the tornado with just a small part of the headstock broken, it still played and he just gave it to me. I recorded a few tracks and then archived them. Sadly like an idiot I pawned the bass in need of money for other stuff. Last week I was going thru my archived demos etc and came across my stuff I did with the burner. I was almost in tears! Seriously, that bass had a sound! I would love to find another one. I have attached a picture of what his looked like. It had the black pickups labeled Ken Smith and that is what I want again as they sounded better than anything I have ever heard! So if anyone has one and is interested in selling it please give me a shout. I know mine was sold here in Tulsa by a pawn shop to an ebayer. Please look at the picture as this is the same configuration mine was. this is a picture off the net and not my old bass. Thank you!

Default solid Red?

The solid colors were the Standard model, the lowest cost of the 4 we made. The Pickups are the same on all Burner basses. The Knobs do not look like mine. Does this bass have a serial number stamped into the wood at the 24th fret and also written on the foil inside th back plate with signature and date?

Hello Ken, here is the link to that bass I have pictured, I just used that picture from it. http://muzbass.ru/products/988/ I do see a serial number at the 24th fret. This is identical to my old bass. I would love to have another! The Neck and the pickups were in my opinion the best I have ever played and heard!

Default early

That is a pre 1993 Burner with the old Japan circuit EQ system. Not the USA Circuit we used from late 1992.

Ah ha, I wonder then if mine had the Japanese circuit. It just sounded and played so damn good! Do you still make those exact pickups or are they a thing of the past?

Heres another one but it says 1990 so I assume its a japanese circuit also? https://reverb.com/item/10666192-ken...-natural-amber

The Pickups were made by a company in Japan and put in the basses before they were sent over here.

The Link is a different model. Custom. Maple body, 5 pc neck. The standard was 3 pc neck and painter Alder body. Also, that bass has replaced pickups. Not original.

Default Pickups

Ken, I had the guy send me a picture of the pickups. Look at the pic I attached. Just curious if these are the same Japanese pickups without the cover or a different one? He says the bass is all original.Thanks.
