new top
I had a new modern bass once that was shipped in and the top cracked in several places. I had the maker make a new top for the bass. No use having a new bass with cracks like a 100 year old bass made with green wood.
If it doesn't get worse and stays like that for 100 years, you will be ok. Then and maybe then., the bass will be accepted as normal for its age.
