It is a beautiful top, probably the best Cocobolo top i've ever seen. I havent had much time to really play it. When I got home, i sorta went straight to sleep, long day. But from what I did play of it, it has a total completely different sound than my black tiger. To me, the sound is thin, great for melodic playing. Not punchy like the black tiger.

Its weird for me to play, because the past 6 years, all ive ever played was my Black Tiger so that sound is sorta embedded in my head. The cocobolo is gonna be great for chords, soloing, and no aggressive playing. But when I want the aggression, I will play the Black Tiger.

But to describe the tone in my opinion, its a thin articulate sound. Very sweet highs, and non aggressive lows.

Also factoring the bass was completed a couple of days ago, so everything hasn't settled yet.
