Good morning all,
I just noticed that this forum has been a bit lonely for a couple of years so, I thought that I'd just say "hello" and enter a few thoughts.
My main gigging amp set-up has been; my KS 5mw through a MarkBass SD800 into a Schroeder 1210r (8ohms) with very good results as well as rave reviews!
I have recently inserted a SansAmp BDDI between the bass and amp with even better results!
For the really small gigs, I use a MarkBass CMD121 with the BDDI.
I really like the tone and portability of these rigs but, the Smith, with Smith Compressors, really makes things happen.
Take a look in the "For Sale" forum for a couple sets of Smith strings, one new, one mounted (3+2) for five minutes then removed.
