Default old BT5 serial question.

Hello Ken ,

I've got one of your old baby. the serial is 5MW122595.
Can any of the BT5 have serail number 5MW?
122595 means the year of 95?

Thanks Ken.

Yes, That was the BT 5M model with walnut body. The basic neck thru then, maybe without the graphite in the neck. I don't remember. I would have to dig and look it up if that's possible. It was 1995, correct.

This is the picture of it.
So it might not have the graphite?

I think not. Take off the Truss rod cover and read the number penciled in there. That is the production #. IF we were making basses like this with or without the graphite bars, the ones WITH the graphite would have a letter 'G' penciled in near the truss rod nut. Still, I will have to do some research and see IF I have records going back that far for the production. This model was only made for a year or two at the most.
