I looked over the electronics today and my problems are: oxide in the balance pot and that the plastic ring around the jack is breaking. So maybe just a new jack would be just enough at the time beeing. |

upgrade or maintenance..
Replacing the standard Jack is not uncommon. There are Cables out there that kill the jacks in time so this is normal maintenance I think.
As far as the 9v unit goes, I have them in stock for replacements and for sale as well for the aftermarket. The D.I.P. switch is the main difference in the new Circuit. The second batter just gives it a bit more life in the end before replacing the Batteries. With the oxidation in the cavity I would suggest wiping the control cavity down and then re-shielding it. Unfortunately, we cannot sell or ship the shielding paint we use. The DIP is preset to a slightly different setting overall than the 9v unit but the setting for the 9v are within the 4 choices for each Band of EQ and are marked on the instruction sheet. The newer 18v unit also costs a bit more than the older 9v design. Knobs and Jacks are sold separately regardless of which Circuit you buy. |
