Lol! Yeah, wouldn't that be a kicker. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to Seattle and teams up with Ichiro. That would really add an offensive dynamic that could help the Mariners exponentially next season. I guess we'll have to wait and see what lies ahead for Godzilla.

Cool Dallas In Philly....

Ok, Cowboys and Eagles in progress. Both teams are 5-2. Already well into the first quarter, Cowboys up 7-0. Any picks on who wins this one to take over 1st. place in the East?

Thumbs up Veterans Day.

Here (U.S.), it is Veterans Day. No words can express the gratitude we have for those who are serving and are sacrificing; have served and have sacrificed for us. Thank you!

Default Dolphins/Panthers

OK sports fans. Donna and I are headed to the Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers prime time game tonight in Charlotte. The Bank Of America stadium is about 15 miles from here. Doesn't get much closer. We're in the south end zone section 2 row 17, real good seats. I've been a Dolphins fan for more than 38 years, through thick and thin. Looking for a Dolphins win, but I'm not real comfortable predicting one right now. Look for me on the right side of your TV screen.

Thumbs up Victory

Just got home from the Dolphins game and I'm happy to say it was real enjoyable, particularly the final score - Dolphins 24 / Panthers 17. Amazing just how many Miami fans were in attendance. Probably 40% of the full house. Next week I'll pull for Carolina, but never against Miami.

Default Wow!

Wow! Just looked at the radar: A line from N. Dakota, south to Arkansas, and everthing east of that to the coast-line is either getting, rain, freezing rain, snow, or all of the above.

Ahh.. no?.. First off, Cleveland is not out west so get a map!

Second, football teams do not play against baseball teams, at least not in this country..

1) I bought a map this morning. Thanks for the advice.
2) So, who are the wusses - the baseball guys or the football guys?

ps. I fixed up your spelling (lease = least). Also, only one full stop (period) needed.

Ken, my friend, you misunderstand. All games evolve, well the first game called 'football' was probably played in England before your War of Independence, and I'm sure the ancient Egyptians invented a similar game involving an object coming into contact with one's foot. Maybe they called it Skullball? Or Deadlittleanimalball? Anyway, what I was suggesting is that it would be interesting to see a group of your football guys play a team of your baseball guys. Sure, the rules might need to be slightly modified; maybe they could mix up the teams - half the football and baseball guys on each side. Rugby Union supposedly started when some guy picked up a soccer ball, during a match, and took off with it wrapped tightly in his arms. You're football game probably owes a lot to that enterprising moment some time in the nineteenth century. Now, call me modest but, I'm prepared to let you put the idea forward to your Yankee mates. Who knows, if it works out, they might decide to call this new hybrid game Kenball. No need to thank me, old buddy.

Richard, I would call you anything BUT modest. We have a culture gap here. A HUGE culture gap. What you think is funny in your mind is considered to be disruptive in other peoples minds. Here in USA MOST people I know are serious to the degree they are not and they usually make that obvious. When you come up here with these strange ideas and the way you present them, it's almost like answering someones question in a different language.

No, I am not interested in any mixed games. Might as well breed a Fish with a Cow..

NOW.. Back to on topic please...

I guess it would be off topic to say that I LIKE Richard's idea - in fact, I'd be interested to see how he would combine rugby and cricket. I betcha those paddles would do a fine job of clearing a scrum....

And if we could mix a fish with a cow, perhaps we could start eating steak that's high in Omega 3 and low in cholesterol...

Dave, I really appreciate your kind reply. You are obviously a man with a big heart and a stack of lateral thinking. I thank you, my friend.
Although I know he finds me difficult at times (probably most of the time), I didn't think Ken's reply was one you'd expect from a friend. Down here (NZ) we'd say that sometimes Ken plays on an uneven field. Thanks again Dave.
