Default new bass from Mexico.

Uppps I forgot to describe this new bass. I coimssioned 2 years ago and was finished just 3 months ago. the Maker is Ricardo Perez Montoya he makes mostly violins, violas and cellos, this is just his second bass. The wood was all bought in Italy , except for the neck and fingerboard, which we bought in Canada. The Top has been with him for 15 years and he assumes its at least 25 years old, it has nice veins on it, what he calls "masscciatura" It has been oiled varnished. We started out the model with something resembling the D, Salo in Rosengard,s book, and little by little it got completly modified.
Its, a little on the small 3/4 size but its string lenght is 41.3 inches.

Its a nice small solo bass, projects nicely in the hall and, and has a creamy, buttery sound with imediate response. Over all i,m quite happy with it.

That's a pretty model, and the varnish is quite lovely. Congratulations!
