ID:	2569 I wrote to Hofner and they said they never used this name and do not know what it is. Attaching some pix.
My dealer says it's made by another Hofner company in Germany.
I am a beginner and could use all the help I can get.
Thanks.
Joe

Looks like some Asian bass using a German name. Sorry. Don't pay too much for this. It is a brand new bass. Looks like Plywood with that finish but hard to tell. Maybe even a Euro factory east of Germany. A German made bass today would be fairly expensive. Ask the dealer where HE got the bass from.

It is NOT Uber Hofner. In German, Uber means 'About' so when you see Uber Hofner on the regular website, it means 'About Hofner'. This label is HuberT, some lame attempt to deceive misreading the language or trying to make you think such a person or shop exists.

if the bass (the label) would be made in europe it would be spelled "Höfner" ;-)

Thumbs up Thank you

Ken and Anselm,
Thank you so much for your help.
You just saved me $2,600.
This instrument was from a respected dealer here and either he was fooled or he tried to fool me. I will take my business elsewhere in the future.
Thanks again,
Joe
