RIP Bob Babbitt

I just learned from a Facebook post that the great Bob Babbitt just passed away.

For those of you not seeing my FB reply;

I didn't know he was Ill. I knew Bob from my NY days. We even did one session together where I was in the strings section and him in the Rhythm section. Once we shared a cab together and we talked about his old Fender. Years later we met up at NAMM in Nashville, a decade plus since I had seen him. He was a great guy and a great player. The bass word and his friends will miss him. RIP Bob.
