Default Shielding Cavity / Re-assembly

This question is Mainly Directed to Ken. I just had to re-shield the cavity on one of my smiths & was curious when you guys use the black graphite based shielding paint on new basses how long do you wait after the final coat is on to install the electronics? I know in the tradition of smith basses, great basses take months to do right rather than days or hours.

Thanks in Advance!

We used the black a long time ago and now using it again. It depends on how the wood absorbs the paint. We do a heavy coat and let it dry a day or so and then sometimes a second. We test it with a meter as well when it's fully dry as well.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'm just gonna wait three days before reassembly.
