Bernardel Double Bass

Hi there - I just bought a double bass, not in very good condition, but it looks like it has the word Bernardel written on the back at the top. The owner mentioned she thought it was French and maybe around 150 years old. A little bit of research has led me to your site and I'd love to learn more about the instrument if I can. For example, is there any way of confirming it is actually a Bernardel and, if so, can we place it to one of the Bernardel family.

Any assistance you can give me to try and date it would be great. Thanks very much. Alan Clark

I don't know why this wasn't responded to 4 years ago but maybe we were waiting for pictures so the question could possible be answered. Sorry I'm late.
