It's an EG (Elite 'G'). They're all neck thru.

Ebony is a VERY heavy wood (5.5 Lbs. per Bd. Ft.) but oh so worth it! The total weight of the bass probably weighs somewhere in the vicinity of 12 Lbs. Like Ebony, Cocobolo is another VERY heavy wood but my favorite tone wood of all.

The ebony is not very heavy at all to me but I'm 6'3" 280Ibs so maybe that helps on the weight issue.

On the real, that bass is "Butter" the lines are extra ordinary.
Its got to play like a dream.
