![]() I've owned a j mw for a year now and it's the best of both worlds.I almost had smith soapbars installed when i bought it but a guitar player(who also plays bass)gave me some insight. With just a slight tweak from the eq,i can go from the authentic" Smith" sound to early fender jazz,so i am very happy i didn't touch it

I am happy to hear that. I know that authentic Smith sound, but I've never tried what it feels like. I am much more familiar with J type basses. So does it also produce that bright HiFi voice as well? What wood is your J-MW made of? Originally I was planning to choose an ash only body, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe walnut-maple... |
