I own and owned a lot of Smith basses and currently i have 6 in my arsenal, but this one takes my breath every time i pull it from the stand and plug it into the studio jacks.

Aesthetically it's not really a winner, compared to other Elite Smiths, but this bass makes every bass tune played by me 'shine', it sounds like I add a 3-D effect to my playing compared to all other basses.

May be its the phantastic low action that drives me crazy and accelerates my fingers ...

I'm sure that current Smith models would be similar in quality if not better. But for me this one is a miracle...

The gold hardware has a more 'rosé' teint compared to all of my other Smith gear. Ken, did you use other hardware for the classics ? Are there any specials about the "Collector's Classics" compared to normal BSR models now ?

Best regards
Rainer
We have no control over the color of the Gold. We have had some variety from each Plater over time and many Platers over the years. We are just happy to get delivery..
