well that makes perfect sence!
when i was playing more, i used a set of string for a week, boiled the, used them for another week then they got stuffed in the bottle... now a days, once they go dead i trash them... luckly, i dont really sweat when i play so the strings stay fairly fresh

I get dramatically more life out of mine.. I change strings about once every 6 months or so. I've gone a year before they were dead enough to care.
