Question maker?

Plywood basses are not made by makers but rather in shops or even factories.

I may have seen that design on the back on one other bass a few years back. Look close to see if it is painted on or inlaid as well as the rest of the purfling on the top and back.

Is there any kind of label at all inside or stamps?

From these pictures, I think it is from German origin, maybe even Czech near the German border.

The Neck was once broken out of the bass from looking at that piece of wood at the button on the back. That is never an original feature but rather a decorative piece to hide the repair or problem. If done correctly, it would be with the back off the bass and inlaid inside the back a bit further down because that is where the strength is for the neck attachment.

Age? Probably after WWII. Maybe sightly before.
