A bit more of a lighter note, I had a text conversation with my colleague today. He seemed to be bearing up well with no further complications. I asked him if the doctors were going to put him on warfarin (also used as rat poison) to help clear the clots out. He said the doctors were currently trying to calculate what the near-lethal dose was likely to be!

I then asked him if there were going to be any expected side effects and he replied yes, an aversion to the projects he was working on in the office.

It was good to see that his humour was still healthy!
