Wittner Composite Tailpieces?

I have a Wittner on my New Standard (came from Arnold and Wil like that), and put one on my other bass (Christopher flatback).

For pizz, I think there is a small volume boost, arco can get a bit wilder (less dampening by the tailpiece?).

On my Christopher bass, the Wittner helped a wolf-note I had on the Bb on the D string, but arco playing became even harder.
