In addition to the above...I use a similar case (hard styrofoam) but in a 1/2 size ! I have a smaller 3/4 modern French bass that fits into it! Travelling by plane has become much much easier! The whole thing is about 16 kilos! And I still have a normal, lovely sounding bass when on stage, not a travel bass, or an EUB, ...

Hi Dwight,
I'll have my plywood Upton. I actually got it right after Wintergrass last year and use it now whenever I fly. I've been really happy with it. You'll have to check it out and see how it stacks up against your Cleveland, which as I remember is a pretty sweet bass. See you there. Corey
