Pascale DeLache-Feldman recital 5-31-11
Just got this message, regarding a solo bass recital, next Tuesday, at the Longy School of Music. To Boston-area bassists, I am passing it on:
"Hello everyone, I would like to invite you to my upcoming faculty recital on Tuesday, May 31st at 8pm in Pickman Hall at Longy. The program is called "Bass-ically Solo!" and I will play music of Bach, Dragonetti, Piazzolla, Proto, Hauta-Aho and Tabakov. The concert is about an hour long. Hope to see you there! Pascale When: Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 8pm Where: Pickman Hall at the Longy School of Music-27 Garden Street, Cambridge Admission is free" (end of message) For anyone unfamiliar with Ms. DeLache-Feldman, here is a bio: Brown University Department of Music All I can say, anecdotally, is that I have have heard/seen her play a few times, both solo and in an orchestra. She is one of the finest bassists I have heard or seen, anywhere. Her sound is lovely and full, her musicality is intelligent and masterful, her technique seems effortless. She is one of those few players whose playing truly transcends the instrument. |
